Access to drinking water has been one of the areas where some Haitians have seen improvement. Only half of the population had access to water before the quake, now the tent camps have it readily available.

This week marks six months since the Haiti earthquake. Some commerce has returned to the country as the small shops and markets are selling goods again.

As Haiti is in the midst of it’s hurricane season the people who still live in the tent camps are getting soaked.

The US Senate Foreign Relations Committee has issued a new report that contains harsh critiques of the Haitian government rebuilding efforts after the January earthquake.

Most of the press have left Haiti even though things have not improved for many of the people in Port-au-Prince. The news networks have largely left because there has been no change, nothing new to report.
