Israel Tells Nationals: Leave Sinai Immediately

Counterterrorism unit warning of planned attacks during the upcoming Jewish holiday period.

The Counter-Terrorism Bureau in the Prime Minister’s Office warned Israelis to exercise caution when traveling abroad during the Jewish holidays, due to the assessment that Hezbollah may try to attack Israeli citizens, and urged citizens in Sinai to leave immediately.

In issuing its report on Tuesday, which it does regularly before Rosh Hashanah and Passover every year, the bureau stated the bulletin “did not involve new warnings, but rather a current assessment.”

My Comment: It appears that Israeli intelligence knows something that they are not telling us.

Israeli Intelligence Issues Facebook Warning

JERUSALEM (AP) — Israel’s internal intelligence service urged the public Monday to exercise caution when using Facebook, saying Arabs are trying to recruit spies on the popular social networking site.

The Shin Bet security agency warned Israelis against answering unsolicited messages or sharing telephone numbers and other sensitive information over the Internet. It said there have been numerous incidents recently in which violent groups tried to recruit Israelis through Facebook and other networking sites.
