North Korea Warns Of Possible Naval Clash With South


From The New York Times:

SEOUL, South Korea — The North Korean military on Thursday accused South Korean warships of intruding into its waters, reminding its neighbors that it could raise tension even as its government was reaching out for talks with the United States and South Korea.

North Korea’s warning that a naval clash could erupt in disputed waters off the west coast of the divided peninsula came three days after it test-fired five short-range missiles off its east coast.

Bob Jones University has apologized for racist policies including a one-time ban on interracial dating that wasn’t lifted until nine years ago and its unwillingness to admit black students until 1971.

The private fundamentalist Christian school that was founded in 1927 said its rules on race were shaped by culture instead of the Bible, according to a statement posted Thursday on the university’s Web site.
