For a celebrity who has had no mean feat in Bollywood and whose nose-diving career could not have been uplifted even with a flesh flashing bikini act, Amisha Patel has opted for the next best career option-politics. But even though the sizzling beauty is all set jump in the messy political arena, she isn’t willing to take the plunge in the coming elections as contrary to what has been proposed by several reports.
The buzz of the Patel girl entering into politics got rolling when a newspaper on Saturday carried a report stating that she will contest the Lok Sabha elections from the Rajkot seat in Gujarat, on a National Congress Party (NCP) ticket.
But though the lissome babe plans to run for elections, it’s not going to happen anytime soon. Refuting rumours that she would be contesting elections this year Amisha told a news daily, ““No no no! I am not… I repeat I am not contesting elections.”
Nevertheless the actress did not rule out the possibility saying, “Getting into politics will be a natural process. In future, maybe I will take up politics. But the time’s not ripe. Don’t you feel I’m too young to take a decision like that at this point of time?”
As for the political offers pouring in she added, “Numerous parties have approached me to contest the elections. And this is not the first time that such a thing has happened. But once and for all, I want to clarify that I’m not getting into politics right now. I don’t know who has been giving such confirmations, but the news is anything but true. I need to make my stand clear officially.”
Well, going by her botched career in Bollywood, the lady surely needs to look out for better career options. But politics is one world this dainty beauty is too fragile to step in. Right pals?
