A minister at the World Bank has been accused of corruption by the courts in Egypt. Mahmoud Mohieldin was an investment manager in Egypt until he was appointed to the World Bank in 2010.

A big problem with international aid is that the classifications for countries do little to reflect the reality with their boundaries.
The World Bank classifies countries from low to hi income.

As we mentioned last week, the world has an opportunity to wipe out AIDS if the political will exists. Rich nations are making moves right now that move counter to that goal.
The US, EU and other rich nations are hoping to make stricter patent laws that will eventually hinder access to anti-retroviral drugs.
