This month, many African Heads of State will come together in an effort to launch a “continent-wide free trade agreement (CFTA).” This is in an effort to promote intra-African trade and hopefully provide an avenue for the poor to free themselves from economic oppression.

There is growing evidence that farmers in Africa are already adapting to climate change. They are beginning to change their farming methods on their own in order to keep harvests plentiful.
A development research conference in France touched upon that subject last week.

Cultural norms have kept women from owning land in Africa. Women more often than men are farming the land while the title is often held by the men.

A new report that analyzes African incomes may be a breakthrough in correctly understanding the state of the continent’s economy. The African Development Bank says that one out of three Africans are considered to be middle class.
